I have also had many prose items appear in Broomstick. I have cartooned for Broomstick. The name of the cartoon is "Witch Way" (as in Witch Way The Wind Blows"!) I have written a pamphlet titled Publication Indexing, a Writers' Guide to Inventory, which was published by Tiptoe Publishing in 1989. I am currently working on a family history of my mother's family. An autobiographical critical look at the medical care, or more correctly, malpractice, that I have experienced, When Medicine Failed, was published in 1998. The Supplement to it has been on-going, the last version from 2008. I published a book of poems, After the Fall, in 2005, and another, Rhymes of a Sincopated [sic] Liberated Broad in 2006.
I have given my "Poetry Olympics", humorous after-dinner remarks, a number of times, twice to standing ovations, and one of these times was at the National Federation of State Poetry Societies annual convention June 23, 1987 in Mankato, Minnesota.
I have won a number of contests, the 1978 Denver American Pen Women contest second prize, Best of Show at the South Dakota State Fair in 1980 and 1984 as well as many first, second and third prizes there. I received Honorable Mentions at the National Federation of State Poetry Societies annual contests in 1980 and 1981, and second prize at the South Dakota State Poetry Society contest in 1980. I have twice judged contests for the National Federation of State Societies, in 1985 and 1988. I was named International Woman of the Year for 2000/2001 by the International Biographical Centre of Cambridge, England.
